Hello Everyone,

Well now I have completed my first week here in Guaynabo! I am serving in the mission home now! I could the week as following: best/longest/craziest/plan changing week of my life. It has been a blast being with Elder Ferreira.  I am privileged to be able to work so closely with President and Sister Boucher! Every time I get to know them more, I am more grateful for them.  They are awesome!

So President calls us in on Wednesday and says “Hey we're going to St. Kitts from Saturday to Sunday” and we were like....”ok”. Haha… but we were internally stoked! We had a wonderful time and it was so cool to meet the faithful saints there. We cherished our trip even though it was very short. We stayed in a member’s home and we also worked with the seƱor couple missionaries that are there, The Snell’s. They are awesome. We love the saints so much that we really wanted to stay and keep working… such a great experience.

So Sunday after church we headed straight to the airport to catch our flight back to PR. Well long story short, my companion had visa problems and they wouldn't let him back into US territory.  We stayed Sunday again in St. Kitts and after a lot of re-planning/ searching we were able to get back to PR just a few hours ago. It just proves to show that after we do all we can the Lord helps us out.  It really was a miracle we got back. Love you all so much and sorry for the short email.

"The Mission is super fired up!"

Hello Everyone!

It was such a wonderful experience to have Elder Anderson here in Puerto Rico. It was so spiritual and he taught us about having enough faith to produce miracles. Lets just say that the mission is super fired up:) On Sunday in stake conference something he said really hit me. He said, “I have a perfect knowledge that Christ lives, I am his witness and I know he lives" The spirit was so present and we had a wonderful experience.  We shook his hand and our investigator Francisco wants to be baptized! I have been called to work in Gyanabo with Elder Ferreira again.  I am humbled and excited to start another chapter in my mission! I love you all!

"Press forward with a steadfastness in Christ"

Exchanges with new missionary, Elder Torres
Fun to meet and see the Goodriches!
Hello Everyone!

This week was another fast week and full of more lessons learned. There is a challenge in the mission so that every championship baptizes! Last week I remember praying to God, that we had no dates set for March and I know you want us to baptize this month and I know we will, but I have no clue how but we will work for it. We set out this week, worked and worked and worked and up to Thursday we had found 1 or 2 new investigators. But Thursday we got a reference from the sisters and we went and taught a son and a mother, named Luis and Nilsa. (Shotout to Brandon, Luis lived in Bushwick for 25 years and he said he met a missionary there that looked like me… soooo maybe it was you:)) Anyways, they both came to church and they want to be baptized at the end of March. He said, “Estoy loco por bautizarme jajaja.” What a blessing.

On Sunday I was able to really reflect on how much the Lord has been trying us and pushing us and as we endured with faith he let us accomplish what he wanted us to do, and made us better servants during the time. I truly love my Heavenly father and my Savior Jesus Christ. In these last 18 months I have really came to know them and it is something honestly priceless. I love you all. Press on with faith and a smile:)

In the Book of Mormon- 2nd Nephi 31:19-20
19. And now, my beloved brethren, after ye have gotten into this strait and narrow path, I would ask if all is done? Behold, I say unto you, Nay; for ye have not come thus far save it were by the word of Christ with unshaken faith in him, relying wholly upon the merits of him who is mighty to save.

20. Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life.

Love you all,

Elder Waidmann

"The most powerful thing we can develop is faith in Jesus Christ"

After an exchange with the AP's... I worked with Elder Wayman in his area. He is also from California and his first name is the same as Dad's...Too funny!
Hello to my wonderful family and friends!
Thank you for all your love and constant support!  It's crazy the time on the mission is starting to wind down, 6 months… I have completed a Sisters mission. But I need to work on cherishing every moment because the mission is something so precious to me. There is no more important duty in the world besides preaching the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.

We have been striving to find families week after week after week and I was wondering why on the world we couldn’t find them. We did a follow up on a contact that I had made in an exchange and they turned out to be amazing! We shared with them and we only had like 15 min to teach. We taught about Jesus Christ, our role as missionaries, and about their past.  The Spirit was ever so present and they cried several times.  Later the next day we went back there… and yesterday we went back and no one answered. I felt really disappointed and was wondering, why is this happening...

After that, I went on an exchange with one of the Assistants and it was a super good learning experience. He told me not to give up and we talked about the importance of developing faith. As we studied in chapter six of Preach my Gospel, something caught our attention "When you have faith in Jesus Christ, you trust the Lord enough to follow His commandments—even when you do not completely understand the reasons for them. You accomplish what the Lord wants you to accomplish. You help bring about good in your own life and the lives of others. You are able to do miracles according to the Lord’s will. Your faith will be manifest through diligence and work."

As I read that as we have faith in Christ, we will accomplish what he wants us to accomplish, the Spirit enlightened me and helped me gain a testimony of this truth. The most powerful thing we can develop is faith in Jesus Christ...Miracles will occur... I love you all and hope you have a wonderful weeek:) les quiero
