Hola!
How are you all? I love you all and am so grateful for your
support.
This week was no lie one of the hardest weeks of my entire
mission. Me and my companion have been working really hard and this week the
results were few. I got really frustrated with myself and I would even say
impatient with the Lord. He has given us promises and I wanted them immediately
and when they didn’t happen I knew they would the next day, day after day until
the end of the week and we still had not reached our goal. I felt like I was
not doing my responsibility correctly and that I was letting the Lord down.
None of our investigators came to church and we were supposed to have a baptism
this next week.
I got home from church and was super discouraged and was
exhausted, but we ate and left the house and started to work again. Later on in
the day a member came out to contact with us and we taught someone on the street
and he really was not interested, but he accepted a Book of Mormon. The member was super positive and was like,
“Hey look! You guys got what you wanted to teach another Son of God the
truth”. It was true! We kept working and
on the way home we found our friend Esteban in the street sitting down in the
street. We walked him home and we talked about our feelings and it was super
spiritual. He talked about his problems
and I just opened up and talked about our week and I pulled out a card that I
have in my mission manual that has a photo of Christ with his hands out. The picture says, "I never said it would
be easy. I only said it would be worth it". The Holy Spirit hit us really
strong and I felt a ton better and since then I have been able to reflect more
on Christ. He never complained or gave up and therefore neither will I. Our
attitude changes everything, I know it. I love you all!
Love, Elder Waidmann
