WOW

I have no time but this a summary of this week!!! :) Emanuel was confirmed!!! It was a really special experience to be in the circle of the confirmation of him. You can really see the diference in him and it is such a blessing to be part of it. Wilfredo, the other recent convert here is also progressing a lot. He came out with us yesterday and taught really well. He is reading the Book of Mormon, Bible, Teachings from President Howard W. Hunter, Principios del Evangelio, and Deberes Del Sacerdocio. He is such a great example and really has this hunger to feast upon the words of Christ. So cool to see. Norman Rosario has a firm baptism date of the 13th of November! Cool experience... we testified in the visit that God inspired us to put his baptismal date for the 6th of November and then he said, "What if I have asked God and he said I should be baptized on the 13th?" We were like uhhhh OK!!! It has been so fun to see him progress and to really find out for himself that these things are true. He has friends in church and is prepared. We are so grateful to be here in Carolina. Elder Tarr is a stud and we are having a blast together. The Lord always provides if we do our part! LOVE YOU ALL!

The Truth

Wow what a roller coaster of a week/emotions. But all in all God has been way too good to us and we need to keep on giving all that we have and then some back to him.

Wilfredo was confirmed yesterday and a member gave him a wonderful blessing. He is doing well and literally cannot put down the Book of Mormon and the Bible. haha He is such a wonderful example to me.

We had a super spiritual experience this week finding a guy who was super prepared. He felt the spirit so strong in the lesson and he said he heard from God that morning that two people were going to come by his house and that he should let them in. Super cool!!! But he texted us and because of family problems he cannot accept us anymore.  Then, the following day a family of 7 dropped us too. But, we are trying our best and be positive and hope and pray they accept the gospel one day when the missionaries pass by again.

Emanuel Charbonier Gonzalez was baptized yesterday. I cannot begin to explain the joy that filled my heart yesterday. His mom and dad, who are not members, came too. When he and a member named President Aguayo got in the water a peace filled the room. As the words were pronounced and as he came out of the water the spirit touched every heart in the room. President Aguayo gave Emanuel a huge hug and it was such a wonderful moment to experience. His mom's eyes filled with tears and as testimonies were given the spirit changed our hearts and we felt the power and truthfulness of the words that were spoken. I am beyond grateful for this gospel. Baptism is the gate, the beginning to the path to eternal life. I know it and I have felt it.

After he got out changing we gave each other a huge hug and he said, "Thank you. I am so happy."

I am eternally grateful for this mission and I know this gospel brings true happiness that lasts for eternity. All we have to do is be obedient to have it.
Love you all!

Las Aguas Bautismales

GOOO WILFREDO!! He was baptized yesterday and it was such a wonderful service. After he said he felt Liberado, or to say free. The change in his personage and his smile was definitely noticeable. The Gospel of Jsus Christ is real and is restored. It is such a blessing to help others find the path and receive their answer through prayer that it is true.

We have been teaching Emmanuel, a 17-year-old for a couple of weeks. He was my companion’s old investigator we started to reteach him. He will be baptized this next Sunday, the 23rd. He is so happy and after seeing the baptism of Wilfredo, he is so anxious. haha I am so grateful to see someone so young want to take this step in his life. In his exact age is when I found out this was the true church and that the Lord needed me to serve. It makes me overjoyed to be able to help others, especially the younger generation. They can then also also to serve a mission and he has mentioned it as a possibility. It has been weird teaching him because we teach him in English because he grew up in Texas and likes English better. Sometimes we can’t remember some words in English, so we have to teach some parts in Spanish. haha It’s funny that we forget our own language.

I gave my fist talk in my mission finally and it was about the Word of Wisdom. haha It went well and I am grateful for how much the Lord has helped me learn and communicate in this language.

I had an experience this week that will forever be life changing. The other night I was praying to find those who are prepared and I have been asking recently to be able to recognize who they are. In my prayer I saw a Dominican man with short hair, with jeans and a red shirt. The following day we went to visit a less active. She is the only member in her family and lives with her family and other friends. At the end of the visit a man walked past the door and I asked if that was her husband and she said it was. It was a Dominican, with short hair, jeans and a red shirt. I had written the description of the man in my agenda and I shared with her my experience. The Spirit was felt really strong and we testified that God has been preparing her husband for a while and that he is ready. We will visit them this week.

I know God knows each and every one of his children. Have a wonderful week! les quiero un monton
