Saying goodbye to President and Sister Boucher

We said goodbye to the Bouchers this week! We will miss them a lot! They are amazing people who have changed my life in so many ways for good.

Our new President and his wife came, President and Sister Smart. They are so great and we know they are called of God. You can see and feel it. We are excited to be with them!

"Just Do It"

Hello Everyone!

I love you all!  Another week has gone by and the temperature is heating up here in PR. I know I'll miss it one day:) I'm grateful for my companion, Elder Gonzalez who is very patient and supports me and lifts our companionship up. He is a great missionary. I'm grateful for the Gospel that we have to share. We are just keeping on, keeping on, trying to find those children of God who are prepared. It hasn't been easy, but we know they are out there. We just have to diligently find. Please pray for our investigators, Angel Luis and Annmarie.  They are wonderful!

Whenever I am tempted to not talk to everyone in the street or parking lot whatever it may be, the words, "what's the worst they could do, say no?" Always comes to my mind.  I thank my wonderful father and brother that have taught me this truth. Just open your mouth and talk:) It's so simple, and it can change lives. Don't be afraid. Everyone NEEDS the restored gospel even if they don't know it. Love you all. Open your mouths and share it because the worst they could say is no, but the best is that they can find eternal happiness and joy.

"We just want to help our brothers and sisters find the truth"

Headed to St. Thomas

Barbecuing for the new missionaries
It's okay Elder Gonzalez and I got lunch today

Hello a todos! I hope you all are doing well. I'll throw down a quick summary of the last couple weeks. We've been pretty busy with mission things… transfers and conferences and preparing for new ones etc., but all is well here. We just want to help our brothers and sisters find the truth.  We are just trying to do all that we can do and by the Atonement of Christ and with the mercy He has for us, He will fill in for what we couldn't/can't do. We do believe in miracles and they will come as we serve faithfully. We also went with President Boucher to St. Thomas for half the day as he had to take care of some things over there. On to another week of serving our brothers and sisters, we love it and we are boricuas ya!

Love you all!

"The Spirit helps you learn things you've never recognized before"

Exchanges!

With Caguas Zone Leaders

Mi Dios está brutal!!
Hello!

I'm very short on time this week, but I'll write a quick summary. This week was great, it was mixed between training missionaries and working in our area as it usually is. On Wednesday we had a special MLC where all the district leaders were invited for the first half of it. My companion and I taught about revelation through church attendance. President Boucher taught about teaching repentance and revelation through prayer and Sister Boucher taught on teaching in the Savior's way. They both are incredible teachers and I look up to them. I love MLC because the Spirit helps you learn things you've never recognized before.

On Friday was our one zone conference and it was in Caguas. We taught on how to begin teaching from Preach my Gospel. We were nervous because of the lack of time we had to prepare, but we were still blessed to be able to have the guidance of the Spirit. It was good to see all the senior couples and spend time with them.

We set a baptism date with Luis this week. We are praying and working for him. We know it can happen. We will visit the two daughters of Sandy, Sanel and Lucia and hope they can continue progressing. Love you all!  We have 3 more zone conferences this week.  Thank you for your love and support!

Fast Weeks!

Hello Everyone!

Fabian's Baptism
Every week goes by faster and faster. We had the privilege of helping Fabian find his way back to his Heavenly Father and he was baptized on Saturday. He recognizes the Spirit quickly and he acts upon it. He is a great example to me.

After his baptism he asked if he could baptize anyone in the future.  I told him of course he could!! I admire him a lot he has made the pioneer decision and I am super proud of him.  My scripture for this week is Doctrine and Covenants 123:17. It reads, “Therefore, dearly beloved brethren, let us cheerfully do all things that lie in our power; and then may we stand still, with the utmost assurance, to see the salvation of God, and for his arm to be revealed. We need to do all we can for him. Because He did all He could for His. I know God is our Father and that Jesus Christ his son lives. Have a great week and think of Him daily. Love you all!

"I received some divine help"

I am listening so hard, so I can translate properly!

Hello!
This week has gone by soooo quickly. My companion and I cannot believe we are in the 4th week of the transfer already. This week we were preparing a lot for MLC and later for our district leader training meetings. I had to teach with my companion in MLC in front of the zone leaders and sister training leaders and President and Sister Boucher. I had a few missionaries say my face went pitch red ha #classic. Two days later we went to teach all the district leaders as well and I had to translate from English to Spanish too, so that was my first time. It was fun and I'm sure I messed up a bunch, but I tried.  I'm sure I received some divine help because my mind was flying! We are teaching a young kid named Fabian and he is super cool! Every time we go to teach him, he brings more friends for us to teach. That was a huge miracle for us this week, as we don't have too much time to contact so it's s blessing. Love you all!!!

Love, Elder Waidmann
